Geremy’s aptitude for performance revealed itself during his childhood, and those early years
were duly filled with studying acting and comedy in special
programs, as well as appearing
in numerous television
commercials and
legitimate theater productions. In the capacity of
being an entertainer, he has always known what he wants to do
At age twelve, Geremy produced his first short
film using revenue earned from commercials:
a Star Wars parody that he wrote, directed, and did the voices for. Shortly thereafter, he
performed in a bilingual musical that toured Canada for 2 months, then he attended a
private
high school for the performing arts, followed by a four-year
conservatory program at York
University, where he studied acting from stage to
screen, voice, movement, writing, and music.
By 1995, Geremy had developed his skills as a multi-talented performer, having
acted in dozens
of stage plays and embarking upon two European tours with "The Canadian
Ambassadors"
as a trombonist, emcee, and vocalist. He relocated to Los
Angeles in 1997,
and wound up on
Mitzi Shore's Comedy Store stages in Hollywood and La Jolla. Mitzi immediately recognized
Geremy’s combination
of boundless energy and
talent, quickly making him a regular performer
at her world famous nightclubs, where he has since given many hundreds of performances.
Geremy appears in several films, such as Heartbreakers
and Good Advice. Television credits include
Angel and
Debbie Travis’ Painted House, and in 2005 he starred in a feature
length Matrix spoof called
The
Helix…Loaded, which had a limited
US theatrical release and is now available on dvd in Asia.
On
a more eclectic note, Geremy wrote, produced, and starred in a one-man
version of Hamlet
that prompted one critic to compare him to Sir Lawrence Olivier on
Prozac. Additionally, he has
authored two sit-com
pilots, a feature screenplay, hundreds of poems, and a novel.
